We do not expect perfection. We expect students and instructors to listen, work, accept correction, and grow. These seven standards govern how we teach and how we train.
Belts, trust, and leadership come from preparation and consistency.
Instructors model exactly what they expect from students.
We do the work on the days the work isn't exciting.
Skill never excuses arrogance, dishonesty, or disrespect.
Every drill and correction moves the student forward.
Perfection isn't required. Effort and improvement are.
What they practice on the mat shows up at school and at home.
A belt is not a participation award. It represents preparation, consistency, technical growth, and the willingness to keep working when progress is difficult. The belt is not the goal. The person earning it is.
Students do not test on a schedule. They test when their instructor believes they are ready to represent the next rank, and not before.
An instructor tells the student they're ready to prepare.
Focused work on the exact material the rank requires.
Performed in front of instructors, peers, and families.
A new rank means more is expected, not less.
Tour the academy. Meet the instructors. See the standards in action. Then decide whether AR TKD is the right fit for your family.
